How much does an RV rental cost?
All of the prices and terms for motor home and RV rentals can be found on our web site. As you are dealing direct with the owner of the coach, exact pricing may vary. Select the coach and season during which you would like to rent and you will view the entire pricing structure for the rental.
Is there a minimum amount of time that we have to rent?
Our minimum rental is generally 3 nights. There are extended minimums during the Summer Season, Holidays and Special Events in which case the minimum rental changes to 4 or 5 nights.
Is mileage included in the rental cost?
All rentals include 100 free miles per rental night. Additional mileage is charged at the rate of .40 per mile for any extra miles at the end of the rental.
What deposits are required?
Upon confirmation, a non-refundable 20% reservation deposit ($300 minimum) is charged to your credit card. This deposit will be applied toward your rental charges. A minimum security deposit of $1000 and estimated rental charges are payable at departure by credit card. Personal checks and ATM cards are NOT accepted. For certain rental applications, damage deposits may be increased or decreased at coach owner's discretion. Credit card deposits are processed at departure. Upon return, all extra charges, if any, are balanced against the damage deposit and a credit or check is issued to cover the refund within 72 hours. Do you provide bed linens, sheets and towels?

Bike rakes are available on a first reserved basis. a flat $25 fee is charged for for any bike rack rental.
Is there a charge for the generator?
The first 4 hours of usage are free with each rental night. A charge of $4.00 per hour applies thereafter.
What kind of gas mileage will we get?
Mileage depends on the size of the RV rental motor home and the driving conditions. Generally, you will get between 7 and 11 miles per gallon.
Do I need a special driver's license to drive a RV rental motor home?
All you need is to be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license. No special endorsement is needed. Do I need to purchase special insurance for my rental?
Most renters are able to obtain a free insurance binder for the dates of your rental through your current auto insurance company. We will provide you with the information you need to give to your agent. If you are insured with Geico, Travelers, Progressive, Ameriprise, GMAC or E-surance, please contact us for additional assistance.
When can I pick up the RV rental motor home?
You can come to the coach owner's pick-up address to pick up your rental RV. Check with the coach owner to arrange delivery and pick-up of your RV rental motor home to your home or office for an additional charge.
Is it difficult to drive a RV rental motor home?
RV rental motor homes handle much like a car, especially the "C" class units which have a van chassis. Larger class "A" coaches are easy to drive but require added vigilance due to the larger size. Are RV rental motor homes difficult to hook up?
No. At departure you will be given a 30-60 minute familiarization tour and learn how to hook it up and operate the appliances.
Does the RV rental motor home come equipped with pots and pans?
No. Linen and kitchen utensils are generally supplied by each renter as needed. Does the RV rental motor home come with a TV, VCR, DVD, or stereo?
Most coaches offer an AM/FM stereo - some with a CD player in the dash. There is also a TV and VCR inside the RV rental motor home. Many units also come equipped with DVD players. Check with the coach owner for specific equipment.
Are there rollout awnings on the RV rental motor homes?
Yes.
Are pets allowed in the RV rental motor homes?
Yes...with coach owners permission only.
Can we smoke in the RV rental motor homes?
No.
Are we allowed to travel into Canada (or vice versa)?
US registered RV's may enter Canada and return to the US without problem.
Are we allowed to travel into Mexico?
No.
Can we travel one way to our destination or do we have to travel round trip?
You must travel round trip unless prior approval in writing is received from the coach owner.
How do I pay for the rental?
Most owners request that all payments be made with a major credit card. We only accept alternative forms of payment on a pre-qualification basis. If you wish to tender payment with anything other than a straight credit card (cash, cashiers check, money order, or travelers check) for any portion of the payment, you must be a U.S. citizen and agree to and pass a credit check. We require at least 14-business days notice, prior to pick up, to process the credit check. This payment policy is very strict and there are no exceptions.
Can I tow my car or boat behind the RV rental motor home?
We do allow towing with all sizes of our RV rental motor homes. The RV rental motor homes are only equipped with a receiver hitch, so you would need to provide your own tow bar. We allow a maximum tongue weight of 250 lbs. and a maximum gross weight of 2,500 lbs. Towing or hitch fees may apply. You will need to inform us of your intentions to tow, so we can reserve a RV rental motor home specifically with a receiver hitch.
How much does it cost to stay in RV campgrounds?
Campground rates vary based on time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally you can expect to pay between $10 and $50 per night. For great RV campground links click here.
What kind of facilities might a campground offer?
A partial list of commonly found facilities would include: electric, water, sewer hook-ups, washer, dryer, swimming pool, playground, BBQ pits, on-site convenience store.
Are there any places we cannot take the RV rental motor home?
Yes. You may not travel into Mexico. Also, Death Valley and other desert areas are not allowed during the hot months. Vehicles are not allowed on logging or other non-public roads such as the Apache Trail in Arizona.
What if I return the vehicle before the date it is due?
No refunds will be made for early returns, late pick-ups or unused miles.
Do you have baby car seats and cribs available?
No. renters need to supply all child care equipment
Is it safe to drink the water from the RV rental motor home tank?
No, we do not recommend this. It is difficult to know if the water is potable when you fill the tank at a variety of locations. We recommend you use bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water from the tank is fine for washing and bathing.
What if I am involved in an accident?
You must notify the coach owner within 24 hours of an accident and make a full report in writing as well as file a police report.
What if the RV rental motor home breaks down?
Simply contact the coach owner for repair facilities near you. Any repairs in excess of $75 must have prior approval from the coach owner.
Is there a ladder so we can get on the roof?
No, we do not allow access on the roof for safety reasons and to prevent damage to the RV rental motor home.
Are there leveling jacks on the RV?
Some of our RV’s have leveling jacks. Please ask the owner of the coach you are interested in to see if your coach has leveling jacks..
Can you pick me up/ drop me off at the airport?
We can make arrangements to pick you up and/or drop you off at the airport. A nominal fee may apply.
What if I have to cancel my reservation?
Your reservation deposit is non-refundable. If you must cancel less than 14 days in advance of your departure date (30 days for summer and holiday rentals), we will be happy to credit your deposit to a future reservation within 180 days. |
